Lucknow, May 8 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Wednesday hit back at Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav and said that instead of worrying about BSP, he should worry about his family and candidates of his own community.
It may be noted that earlier in the day SP chief Akhilesh strongly appealed to the supporters of BSP not to waste their vote and instead use the ballot in favour of SP or INDI alliance candidates in order to save the Constitution and the reservation.
Taking to X, Mayawati wrote, “It would be better if SP, which is extremely anti-Dalit SP, do not comment or worry about what is going on in the BSP organisation. “Instead of this, let the SP leadership only worry about the condition of their own families and their Yadav community candidates who have been fielded in the elections because the condition of all of them is very bad.”
She said that as always SP’s behaviour, character and face is that of a party that is strongly opposed to the rights of Dalits, extremely backward people and the reservations given to them in the Constitution. “Abolishing reservation in promotion and tearing up the bill in this regard in Parliament are such actions which are difficult to forgive,” she said.
Mayawati said, “Changing the names of the districts, parks, universities created by BSP government in the name of great saints, gurus and great men born in the Bahujan community in their honour due to casteist thinking also are such actions of the SP government which are recorded as black exploits in history.”
It may be mentioned that on Wednesday morning while referring to BSP supremo Mayawati’s decision to remove her nephew Akash Anand from the post of national coordinator and her successor, Akhilesh wrote on X, “Whatever step BSP has taken to bring major changes in its organisation is an internal matter of their party. Actually, the real reason behind this is that BSP does not see even a single seat coming because most of the traditional supporters of the party are also voting for the INDI alliance this time to save the Constitution and reservation.”
He claimed that BSP is taking this as a failure of its organisation. “That is why their top leadership is making such major changes in the organisation but now the game is out of BSP’s hands. The truth is that despite being the area of influence of BSP, when it is not getting even a single seat in the last three phases, then there is no possibility left in the remaining four phases,” he said.
Akhilesh said, “In such a situation, we appeal to all the voters that you should not waste your vote and cast your ballot for the candidates of INDI alliance who are fighting from the front to save the Constitution of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and along with reservation.”
