Rampurhat-Ranaghat, May 10 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday lambasted that Mamata Banerjee government for not taking any action against her partymen, who unleashed alleged torture on the Sandeshkhali women, to appease infiltrators.
” It is a shame for a woman chief minister like Mamata Banerjee to allow her partymen to unleash torture and extortion on the women and tribal people at Sandeshkhali just to maintain her vote bank by way of appeasement of the infiltrators and Rohingya, ” Shah said while campaigning for BJP candidates Jagannath Sarkar at Ranaghat and in Birbhum’s Lok Sabha candidate Debtanu Bhattacharya.
” Mamata Banerjee has not called the ED and CBI and it is High Court to intervene to save the torture woman, which you could hade done but you did not owing to your compulsion of vote bank like muscleman odf Sahjahan Sheikh, ” Shah said at Rampurhat.
” I assure you (voters) once you vote for 30 seats in Bengal and cross 400 seats across India, The Narendra Modi government would end the syndicated raj in the state and bring all the perpetrators into the jails, ” Shah said and asked the CM, barring creation of Anubrata Mondal, what you contributed to Birbhum in the past 15 years.
” Yes Birbhum strongman now is in Tihar jail and many more are waiting in future if the syndicators are not mended now, ” Shah warned.
He alleged Birbhum district was ruined by the bomb culture, illegal mining of sand from the river, scarcity of drinking water and what not in the red clay district where nature has given plenty of rivers and natural beauty and sites of pilgrimage.
” I will give charge to Suvendu Adhikari to mend all these for the Birbhum once the BJP is voted with 30 seats in Bengal and cross 400 in India in 2024 Lok Sabha election, ” Shah said in the presence of the Nandigram MLA.
” I appeal to you to vote for the BJP candidates and make way for the party to form a government just for five years and I give you the Modi guarantee to turn Bengal into Sonar Bangla, ” Shah said.
He said the people of Bengal in past decades gave chance to Congress, the left and now the TMC, adding give a chance to the BJP this time and see the results.
” You have seen how Rs 350 crore was seized from a Congress MP in Jharkhand and Rs 30 crore from a PA of Jharkhand minister and Rs 51 crore from the house of jailed minister Partha Chatterjee in Bengal, ” Shah said whilst listing the corruptions being committed under the TMC regime in the state.
Earlier, Shah accused Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government of being the No 1 corrupt regime in India, claiming that her vote bank solely stands on the support of the infiltrators.
Addressing an electioneering in favour of BJP’s sitting MP Jagannath Sarkar, Shah reiterated, ” None in the country can stop the implementation of the CAA and granting Indian citizenship toMatua community refugees. “Shah claimed that the Congress, TMC and Left parties have beenopposing the CAA and they too had also opposed the establishment of the Ram Lala temple in Ayodhya in UP. ” Have they succeeded in stopping the Ram Lala temple? No, they could not because you voters here made Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the second time in 2019, and the Ram Lala finally was consecrated on January 22 in 2024, ” Shah pointed out.Shah, who arrived late from Jharkhand, addressed for some 14 minutes without halting a second on the dais, and listed a series of corruption cases of the Mamata Banerjee government from ration scam to coal infiltration, cattle smuggling, appointment of teachers and ill-gotten money seized from the minister’s residence in Bengal. He said the Mamata Banerjee government was also lying about free ration, which actually is the contribution of the Modi government and would continue in the next five years.The Union minister also claimed that the women of Sandeshkhali were tortured on the basis of their faith and said the BJP would not let any of the perpetrators go scot free.He said the Congress, TMC and Left in alliance tried to oppose theabrogation of Article 370 but the Modi government succeeded to abolish and end terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.Shah appealed to the people to vote in “Lotus” symbol to ensure atleast 30 Lok Sabha seats in Bengal to cross 400 mark.
The fourth phase election to eight seats will go to hustings on May 13.
