Mamata demands resignation of PM Modi and HM Amit Shah

Kolkata, June 4 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday demanded resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on moral ground for failing to get full majority.

She thanked the INDI Alliance partners and congratulated the people of the state to repose faith once again the state ruling party.

” As I had declared, the exit poll was made a Modi poll and my word has come true though there are efforts to rig the poll in the state, ” Banerjee told a media conference after winning the election in 2024 and since 2009.

She said that her party’s general secretary Abhishek Banerjee is likely to represent in the INDI Alliance next meeting as he won the Diamond Harbour seat by a record margin ” I will be busy in the state since I cannot leave the state at the hands of CAPF and tell Abhishek Banerjee to talk to all the party leaders individually and then go to INDI Alliance next meeting,” Banerjee said.

She said the BJP had maligned the ruling party on the Sandeshkhali issue in which TMC candidate Haji Nurul won by record over 2 lakh votes over BJP’s Rekha Patra.

She said there was huge alleged conspiracy to defeat the TMC with the help of Central agencies like CBI, ED, NIA, Income Tax and Central forces.

She claimed the Congress and CPI(M) helped the BJP to win whatever the seats the saffron brigade won, besides the counting observers as well as the ECI.

” We will politically fight the BJP tooth and nail along with the INDI Alliance, ” Banerjee said.

” We do not want NDA, we want INDI Alliance to lead the country. We want justice for Bengal as well as for India, ” Banerjee said.

The Trinamool Congress storm literally decimated tha saffron brigade in Bengal, romping home in three seats and leading in 26 seats and restricted the BJP to lead in 12.

The Congress managed to win only one seat.
