Maliwal reaches police station but didn’t file complaint: Delhi Police

New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) Delhi Police on Monday said that after it received a PCR call from a woman regarding an assault inside the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal visited civil lines police station but but did not file any complaint.

Speaking to media about reports that Kejriwal’s PA assaulted AAP’s Swati Maliwal, DCP North Manoj Meena said, “We received a PCR call at 9:34 AM wherein the caller said that she has been assaulted inside the CM residence.”

Accordingly, local police responded to the call, and SHO and the local police reached the spot, Meena said adding, “After some time, MP Swati Maliwal came to police station civil lines. She left the police station without giving any complaint. In this matter, no complaint has been received till now.”

However, police have yet not confirmed the identity of the caller who made complaint regarding assault at CM’s house.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders are condemning AAP for the reports ciculating over social media platforms which are claiming that Maliwal was beaten and assaulted by Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav Kumar inside his residence.

“We got a shameful news today that after getting instigated by Arvind Kejriwal, his OSD has beaten and misbehaved with one of their party’s MP Swati Maliwal,” BJP candidate from New Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj said while addressing a press conference here.

“She also made a call to Delhi Police and complained regarding the same. The incident took place in the presence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. BJP strongly condemns this incident, Swaraj added.
