Mumbai, Jan 24 (UNI) Maharashtra state Governor and chancellor of universities Ramesh Bais has been appointed to Dr. Vijay Janardhan Phulari as new vice chancellor of Fr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
According to the official press statement issued on Wednesday, Dr. Vijay Phulari is a senior professor at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and was the Head of the Department of Physics.
Also, Dr. Milind Arvind Barhate, present Principal of CP & Berar College in Nagpur, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University.
Sunil Gangadhar Bhirud has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Government Engineering College, Pune University of Technology.
Dr. Bhirud is working as a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology at Veermata Jijabai Institute of Technology.
All Chancellors are appointed for a tenure of five years from the date of assumption of office or until the respective Chancellor attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, the statement added.
