Magnitude-6.0 earthquake hits parts of Pakistan

Islamabad, Jan 11 (UNI) An earthquake of 6.0 magnitude rocked several cities in Pakistan on Thursday, the country’s National Seismic Monitoring Center said.

According to the center, the epicenter of the quake was located in the Hindu Kush region in neighboring Afghanistan with a depth of 213 km.

The earthquake was felt in several parts of the country’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, eastern Punjab province and federal capital Islamabad.

No loss of life or property has been immediately reported, but the quake created panic among people who scrambled out of buildings and compounds.
