New Delhi, April 30 (UNI) The Indian National Congress (INC) on Tuesday released a list of four candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, with prominent names being Raj Babbar from Gurgaon and Anand Sharma from Kangra.
Giving the information, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said that the names of the candidates were selected by the Central Election Committee of the Congress, chaired by party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
The party has named one candidate each from Haryana and Maharashtra and two candidates from Himachal Pradesh.
From Hamirpur parliamentary seat in Himachal Pradesh, the Congress has fielded Satpal Raizada, and from Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra, the party has nominated Bhushan Patil as its candidate.
Moreover, the party has also approved the candidature of Bishwa Bhusan Das as its candidate to contest from the reserved seat of Kakatpur for the ensuing election to Odisha Legislative Assembly.
