Ayodhya (UP), Jan 15 (UNI) The General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai on Monday said that the present idol of Lord Ram will also be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the new temple along with the new idol.
In a reply to a question during the during a press conference, Rai said that the Ram Lalla’s present idol will also be dressed in new attires along with the new one and worshipped during the consecration ceremony.
He said, “The worship of the present idol of Lord Ram has been going on for the last 70 years (since 1950) and it will be seated in the sanctum sanctorum of the original temple along with the new idol. The worshipping of the idol will continue even after January 22 in the same manner as it has been done so far.”
It may be noted that at present, in the temple where Ram Lalla is worshipped, his idol is present with those of his three brothers.
