Lord Ram to be consecrated in Abhijeet Muhurta, after wait of five centuries

Ayodhya, Jan 21 (UNI) The wait of five centuries of crores of Ram devotees will end on Monday when in the presence of the country’s dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the idol of Lord Ram would be consecrated in the grand Ram temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

Besides, the idols of Ram, Lakshman and Maa Janaki, seated in the makeshift temple for years, will also be seated in the new temple.

According to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, the consecration of Lord Ram will take place in Abhijeet Muhurta at 12.30 noon. As per the Panchang, January 22 will be the Dwadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Paush month. Along with Abhijeet Muhurta, many auspicious yogas like Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yoga and Ravi Yoga are being formed on this day.

Lord Ram was born in Abhijit Muhurta in Treta Yuga which is considered very auspicious. This is the reason why the consecration ceremony is being done in the temple at this very moment.

The PM will reach the Ram Janmabhoomi site at 10.55 am and will attend the consecration ceremony between 12.05 pm to 12.55 pm. After the consecration, he will worship the idol of Lord Ram at Kuber Tila Shiv Temple. During consecration flowers will be showered in the temple through helicopter while musicians from different states will spread the auspicious sound with their musical instruments.

Meanwhile, Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi pilgrimage area, said on Sunday that the idols of Lord Ram and Mata Janaki enshrined in the temporary temple will be taken to the newly constructed temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi at 8 pm on Sunday.

Along with the consecration of the new idol of God, the idols worshiped since 1949 can be seen and worshiped in the new temple. The arrival of well-known personalities of the country invited to participate in the Pran Pratishtha program has started in Ayodhya.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat reached the capital Lucknow on Sunday to go to Ayodhya, while Yoga Guru Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna, Dr Parmanand Saraswati, Geeta Manishi, Nirmalanand Madhav Priya Das, Acharya Krishna Mani, Satua Baba, Alok Das registered their presence in Ramnagari.

It may be noted that the ritual of consecration started from Saryu river in the afternoon of 16th January. After the completion of the seven-day long Pran-Pratishtha program in the divine-grand temple, Ayodhya will be illuminated with 10 lakh lamps on Monday evening. ‘Ram Jyoti’ will be lit at houses, shops, establishments and mythological places.

In the wake of the consecration ceremony the police have made tight security arrangements in Ayodhya. Water police will guard the Saryu river, while a special drone Garun equipped with AI technology will keep an eye on the mischievous elements from the sky. In view of security, the monitoring center of UP Police Dial 112 was set up at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.

ADG Lucknow zone Piyush Moradia said, “We are keeping an eye on the security of Ayodhya through Garun drone through AI, it has speakers, its range is eight km. It also has a hooter and works as a public address. For security reasons, Ayodhya has also been divided into several zones and sectors.”

In view of the grand event, Ayodhya has been decorated heavily. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex has started looking divine with the beauty of seven and a half thousand plants brought from Maharashtra.

The entire complex is being decorated in view of the sanctity of Lord Ram. Along with flower decorations, pots are also being installed here. For this, more than seven and a half thousand pots and plants have come from Maharashtra.
