List of LS candidates from K’taka soon: KPCC chief Shivakumar

Hubballi, Nov 3 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday said the Congress party, in the next five days, will take a final decision on the candidates for Lok Sabha elections in the state.

Speaking to reporters here, Shivakumar said all the ministers, who conducted the election survey in more than 75 per cent of the constituencies in the state, are expected to submit their reports any time soon.

“Necessary inputs and suggestions have also been received from senior party leaders in this regard which would help in releasing the list of the candidates,” he said.

Refusing to comment on the opposition statements about the brewing discontent among the legislators within the Congress party, Shivakumar said there is no dissatisfaction among the members of its legislature party.

Meanwhile, Karnataka State Food and Civil Supplies Minister KH Muniyappa said it was up to the party high command to decide whether Chief Minister Siddharamaiah should continue in his position for five years or a chance should be given to Shivakumar to become chief minister.
