New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra greeted the nation on Monday on the occasion of Holi.
In separate posts on social media on Monday, the two leaders said that it is a festival of brotherhood, love, and affection.
Kharge said the festival of Holi symbolizes the vibrant colors of our diverse multi-cultural society and the spirit of togetherness and harmony that has been the essence of our civilization.
“Heartiest greetings and best wishes to everyone on the joyous celebration of Holi. May this unique festival of colors strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among our citizens and bring happiness into your lives.’ he said.
“Today is Holi, a festival of joy, enthusiasm, sweetness, fraternity, and equality. When God also rejoices and comes to play colors with humans, He said if Banke Bihari is found playing Holi with pichkari and flute in Kunjgali of Vrindavan and Lord Shiva with the ashes of the pyre at the Mahashamshan of Banaras, then hug him with love and share happiness with family, society, country, and the world.’ the AICC General Secretary said in her social media post.
“This sentiment is at the core of all festivals. Happy Holi and lots of wishes.” she said.
