Chennai, Sep 22 (UNI) The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday evening announced that it was trying to establish contact with the Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover to ascertain their wake-up condition launched as part of third Lunar Mission Chandrayaan-3.
Both the Lander and the Rover were put on sleep mode and ISRO it awaiting their awakening today and efforts to establish contacts with them would continue.
The Space Agency said efforts were made to establish communication with the Lander and the Rover and no signals have been received from them till now.
“Efforts have been made to establish communication with the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover to ascertain their wake-up condition”, it said in a social media post.
“As of now, no signals have been received from them”, ISRO said.
“Efforts to establish contact will continue”, it added.
ISRO said both the Lander and Rover would wake up upon receiving sunlight on the South Polar Region of the moon.
