New Delhi, (UNI) Days after he vowed to make India the third largest economy globally and put the country in the league of developed nations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that India’s economy shines as a beacon of hope in these challenging times.

“India’s economy shines as a beacon of hope in these challenging times. With robust growth and resilient spirit, the future looks promising. Let us keep this momentum and ensure prosperity for 140 crore Indians!” he said in a post on micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter) while endorsing a media article on Indian economy.
While Modi remains upbeat on India’s GDP growth and fresh investments across sectors, opposition parties have questioned the government’s report card and tried cornering it over issues such as inequality, unemployment and inflation.
In his address to the nation on 77th Independence Day, Modi highlighted the progress made by the country in many areas such as health, education, social welfare, economic development and geo-politics. He projected that India will become the third largest economy in the world in the coming five years.
The Prime Minister reiterated that India will be a developed country by 2047.
