Barabanki (UP), May 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a scathing attack on the Opposition, specially Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP), and said that as the Lok Sabha election progresses the members of INDI alliance are crumbling like a pack of cards.
Addressing an election rally in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates, the PM said, “On one side, there is BJP and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) which is dedicated for the welfare of the country and on the other hand there is INDI alliance which wants to create instability.”
He said, “As the election progresses the people of the INDI alliance have started crumbling like a pack of cards.”
He alleged that when Modi is strengthening the Constitution the people of SP and Congress were spreading rumours.
Modi said that the shehzada of SP has now taken shelter under the new ‘Bua’ in West Bengal. “The aunty in Bengal has told the INDI alliance that she will support them from outside. There is another party which has asked to remain beware of speaking about Punjab,” he said.
He said, “They all are leaving behind ‘Mungerilal’ for the post of Prime Minister. See the limits of their dreams. One of the Congress leaders said that the people of Rae Bareli will elect the PM and after hearing this the shehzada of SP got heartbroken. An intelligent person will not waste his vote by casting his ballot in favour of this nonsensical alliance.”
The PM said that BJP MPs will bring maximum schemes from Delhi and Lucknow to the area and they will work for the development. “In case if a person from INDI alliance becomes the MP his criteria will be how many times he has abused Modi. How powerful his abuse was so that Modi gets disturbed. You need an MP who works for the development of the area and for that you have only one option and that is lotus (BJP’s election symbol),” he said.
He said that the difference is clearly visible when there is a powerful and strong government in the country. “A weak government only counts its days. You tell me that a 100 CC engine can give the speed of 1000 CC. Only a powerful government can give speed to development and only the BJP government can do so,” he said.
Modi said that after a wait of 500 years Ram Lalla has been consecrated in his grand temple. “It is not because of Modi. It happened due to the power of your one vote. It is the power of your vote which formed a powerful government and the wait of 500 years ended,” he said.
He said that to please their vote bank the people of SP and Congress spoke about constructing a dharmshala or a school or hospital on the site. “They have so much poison in themselves that now when the temple has been constructed they have rejected the invitation for the consecration ceremony. The senior leaders of SP say that the temple is useless,” he said.
The PM claimed that Congress is preparing to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ram temple. Some people will say how can this happen, but don’t get into any confusion as they divided the country. They can go to any extent and that is their track record. For them, the country is nothing. For them the only thing that matters is their families and power and this is their game,” he alleged.
He alleged that if SP and Congress come to power they will once again send Ram Lalla back to the tent and bulldoze the temple. They should take tuition from Yogi Adityanath where to run the bulldozer and where not. I am concerned because their track record is like this. For SP and Congress nothing is bigger than their vote bank. And when I expose them they get restless,” he alleged.
Modi said that when the Constitution was being framed Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar was highly opposed to reservation on the basis of religion. “After much thought the Constituent Assembly decided that there will be no reservation on the basis of religion. Even the great grandfather of Congress’ shehzada was opposed to it, but 10 years back they decided to give reservation on the basis of religion,” he said without naming Congress or Rahul Gandhi.
He said, “In fact they did this in Karnataka where all the Muslims were declared OBCs overnight and looted a big chunk of reservation. “Whether you will allow this to happen in Uttar Pradesh? No one can touch what Baba Saheb has given.”
Taking a dig at former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, the PM said that now the champion of fodder scam in Bihar, who has been convicted by the court and is out of jail on the pretext of health, has said that Muslims should get the entire reservation. “That means that Dalits, Tribals and OBCs will be left empty handed. That is why I urge you to give 400 seats to protect your rights,” he said.
He said, “Now the shehzada of Congress has come up with a new thing. He says that an X-Ray of your income would be done.” He claimed: “They want to loot your property. It means that they will take from you and give to those who indulge in vote-Jihad.”
Modi said that SP and Congress have surrendered before the politics of appeasement. “When Modi is telling their truth, exposes their dishonesty, gross communalism, and their vote bank politics, they say that Modi is indulging in Hindu and Muslim. Modi is forced to speak to tell your history of sins to the country. In fact they are anti-Constitution and anti-Dalits,” he said.
He said that when Modi abrogated Article 370 the Constitution got implemented in Jammu and Kashmir and Dalits got their rights. “Two days back refugees started getting citizenship under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. Maximum people given citizenship are our Dalits and backward brothers and sisters. SP and Congress are opposed to it as well,” he said.
The PM said that everyone knows the injustice done to Dalits in UP by SP during its regime. “Now when Modi is strengthening the Constitution they are spreading rumours. “While BJP gave Padma award to Barabanki’s farmer Ram Saran Verma and bowed to his contribution in Kursi, Congress insulted senior leader Beni babu (former Union Minister Beni Prarad Verma) on every step,” he said.
He said that BJP follows the sacred mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’. “Free ration, free treatment, pucca houses, piped water and cheap gas cylinders to everyone without any discrimination. Even the vote bank after which they run has started realising their reality. Therefore, mothers and sisters, who are happy with Triple Talaq law, are continuously blessing BJP,” he said.
He said, “You must remember what used to happen during the SP regime. At that time even electricity was reserved for those who did vote jihad. The public has understood the truth of the vote bank.”
The PM said that now the time has come to move beyond Ram’s work to do national work. “Ram’s work inspires national work,” he said.
He said, “I was gifted a ‘Gamchha’ from here which is becoming very famous. Yogi has started the ODOP mission in UP. Now when I go abroad, I don’t have to work hard to decide what gift to take. I go to the ODOP website and see the goods, book 6-7 things from it. Yogi has got it GI tagged,” he said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Ministers Anupriya Patel and Kaushal Kishore were present on the occasion.
