Kolkata, (UNI) International Cricket Council (ICC) Pitch Consultant Andrew (Andy) Atkinson on Friday visited this city and inspected the
Eden Gardens, which would host five 2023 ICC Men’s 13th edition Cricket World Cup matches, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament.
Cricket Association of Bengal president Snehashish Ganguly and Pitch Curator of iconic Eden Gardens briefed the visiting ICC official regarding the preparations, which were almost completed.
Eden Gardens will host altogether five matches and the first play is between Bangladesh and the Netherlands on October 28 at 2 PM (IST). Bangladesh vs Pakistan on Oct 31 at 2 PM, India vs South Africa November 5 at 2:00 PM, England vs Pakistan on Nov 11 at 02:00 PM and the Semi-Final II on November 16, at 2:00 PM.
