Wayanad, Aug 12 (UNI) AICC leader and Wayanad MP, Rahul Gandhi has said ” The opposition alliance Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) will bring Manipur together to India.
He also assured that INDIA will also back the love, respect and affection availed among the Manipur people, while addressing a gathering organized by Wayanad District Congress Committee (DCC), as a first visit to seen the voters of Wayanad constituency after restored his membership as Lok Sabha MP following the Supreme Court stay on his conviction by a Surat court in a defamation case, at Kalpetta, on Saturday.
He said BJP’s policy is dividing and destroying the relationship between the people of Manipur as part of their game . But the Congress led INDIA will strengthen the relationship between the people of destroyed Manipur through united works of the opposition parties. He also said, this is the fight between the BJP and INDIA.
Mr Rahul Gandhi said, INDIA aims to bring love and affection between the people and bring together the people across the country. He alleged that the BJP led Union Government murdered the Bharat Matha at Manipur. He also pointed out that the Prime minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet ministers were enjoying and spreading jokes during the parliament session ,when the people of Manipur were suffering a lot of problems due to the divide of the people and lack of security to their life. Mr Rahul Gandhi said, “The Prime Minister talked for about 2.30 hrs including slammed the Congress party, INDIA alliance and personally him ,but only took two minutes to speak about the Manipur violence situation.
Mr Rahul Gandhi addressed the meeting towards Wayanad people, ” I am a part of your family and now I am feeling to come back to my family for their protection of rights . He said “suppose some body tries to separate the family members or brothers to each other, (by quoting the incident of being disqualified as Lok Sabha MP) the closer relationship among them will become stronger than in the past . This formula was not known to the BJP led Union Government.
He also thanked the people of Wayanad for giving affection, respect and love during the bad time too to strengthen the will power in politics.
He also said, during the floods affected three years back, the ruling CPI(M) led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and Congress led Opposition led United Democratic Front (UDF) worked together to rebuild Kerala by providing free houses to the affected victims.
Mr Rahul Gandhi reached the meeting venue around 1730 hrs, by road through Ooty from Coimbatore Airport. After the inaugural speech, Mr Rahul Gandhi also handed over the keys of nine houses constructed under his special project “Kaithangu ‘ to the beneficiaries. He will leave for New Delhi ,tomorrow from Karipur International Airport, after attending the two functions at Nallurnadu in Wayanad and Kodenchery in Kozhikode.
AICC General Secretaries Tariq Anwar and K C Venugopal, KPCC president K Sudhakaran,MP , Opposition leader V D Satheeshan, IUML State president Panakkad Sadikali Shihab Thangal, Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, IUML General secretary P K Kunhali Kutty, MP’s K Muraleedharan, M K Raghavan, Jebby Methar and district leaders of Congress party and IUML were also attended the function.
