Ahmedabad, (UNI) Rahul Dravid on late Sunday night said that he has not thought about continuing as Head Coach as he was totally focused on the World Cup campaign but would do so when gets time to do it.
“I haven’t thought about it. Again, I have just come off a game. I have no time to think about this and no time to reflect on this. Yeah, I will when I get the time to do that. But at this point of time, I was completely focused on this campaign. It was focused on this World Cup, and there was nothing else on my mind. And I haven’t given any other thought to what happens in the future,” he told reporters in the post-match press conference here.
The question was asked after India’s debacle in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup finals against Australia at Narendra Modi Stadium.
Asked how he would sum up two years of his coaching, Dravid said he is not someone who is going to judge and analyse himself but stated that he was really proud to have worked with the players.
“I haven’t had time to think about that. I mean, I have just walked out of a game there so to be very honest with you I haven’t really thought about it and to be honest I am not really someone who’s going to judge and analyse myself,” he said.
“But to be honest I have just like I said I was really proud to work with. I think the players that I worked with over the last two years in all the formats, really enjoyed working with them. And yeah, it’s been a privilege,” Dravid added.
