Guna Bus Accident: Probe panel formed; accountability to be fixed, says CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today rushed to the district hospital Guna immediately after he got the sad news of bus accident and met the families of the deceased passengers and those injured in the accident that occurred near Bajranggarh while the bus was en-route from Guna to Aaron. He prayed the God for granting peace to the departed souls and give strength to bereaved families to bear the loss.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met the families of the injured passengers and inquired about the condition of the passengers who received burn injuries. He gave instructions to hospital authorities for treatment and prayed the Almighty for speedy recovery of the injured.

Proper treatment of injured
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the government and administration will ensure all arrangements for the treatment of the injured. Dr. Yadav met every person receiving treatment in the ward of District Hospital Guna and apprised himself about their status wishing them speedy recovery. The MP Dr. K.P. Yadav, MP Dr Rodmal Nagar, MLA Guna Shri Pannalal Shakya, Shri Dharmendra Singh Sikarwar and people’s representatives were present.

Dr. Mohan Yadav said that financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each will be provided to the families of those died in the accident and Rs 50 thousand each to the seriously injured. He ordered suspension of Guna’s District Regional Transport Officer Shri Ravi Barelia and Guna’s Chief Municipal Officer Shri BD Katroliya for their negligence and not providing fire brigade services immediately after the accident.

Investigation report in three days
On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Collector Guna Shri Tarun Rathi has constituted a four-member investigation committee under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate Shri Mukesh Kumar Sharma to probe the causes of the bus accident. Guna’s Sub-Divisional Officer Shri Dinesh Savle, Divisional Deputy Transport Commissioner Shri Arun Kumar Singh and Assistant Engineer Electrical Safety Shri Pran Singh Rai will be the members of the investigation committee. This committee will submit the investigation report in three days.

We stand with families of deceased: CM
Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Guna incident is sad and heart-rending. Orders have been given to investigate the causes of the accident. Whoever is responsible will not be spared. We will try to ensure that such an incident does not happen again. We are with the families of all the deceased in this hour of grief. We extend our sympathies to those injured.

Check permits of all vehicles: Dr Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has issued instructions to the Chief Secretary to take strict action against the culprits in the Guna accident. Instructions are being given to all collectors and superintendents of police from the state that if vehicles are plying without permits in their area, then they should be alert and take strict action against those responsible. Responsibility of senior officials of the Transport Department should also be fixed and strict action should be taken. CM Dr. Yadav was discussing with media representatives returning from Guna after meeting the affected people of Guna accident. It is noteworthy that RTO and CMO Guna have been suspended. Subsequent to the accident, action has been taken to suspend the municipal officer for not providing the fire brigade services on time.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that action will be taken against the culprits by fixing the responsibility of senior officials of the Transport Department and to ensure that such incidents do not recur. In this regard, the state government has also given instructions to curb such accidents with caution. The state government will necessarily take strict action against all those responsible.
