GRP nabs 4 suspects for committing loot on train

Bhopal: The Bhopal Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested four people for committing robbery in a running train. The accused used to commit loots on railway platforms and trains and used to escape when the train used to slow down.

The plaintiff Rajesh Soni had informed GRP Bhopal that on March 26 he was travelling in Bilaspur-Bhopal passenger when the four accused snatched the bag containing cash and valuables. According to the victim, the four accused attacked him when the train was passing near Bhanpur overbridge. The accused attacked Soni with a knife before jumping off the train as it slowed down.

On receiving the complaint the police launched a hunt for the suspects on the basis of the CCTV footage. The accused escaped with Rs 4 lakh cash and gold ornaments worth over 6 lakh.

The accused were nabbed by the police and the looted booty has been recovered from them. Investigations are on in the case.
