‘Going to tell a secret’ PM reveals KCR told him that BRS wanted to join NDA; but I refused

Nizamabad, Oct 3 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address at a public rally here on Tuesday evening dropped a bombshell stating that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao came to New Delhi and told him that BRS wanted to join the BJP-led NDA at the Centre but he (Modi) turned down his proposal.

Modi said the Chief Minister is maintaining distance with him after he told him that ‘we won’t cheat people of Telangana by having BJP-BRS alliance.

There’s a reason KCR doesn’t look me in the eye! I did not agree to KCR’s request to join the NDA in exchange for BJP’s support in GHMC. There’s no question of supporting BRS!

I also warned the Chief Minister against passing the baton to his son KTR, who is a Minister in his Cabinet. After all, we are a democracy, not a monarchy!

The PM said ‘KCR came to the National Capital after the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Election and met him and said he needed BJP support as no one secured a majority. In the election, BJP won 48 wards, BRS 56 wards out of the total 150 wards and no one got a majority. KCR needed support. He came to meet me in Delhi.”

Modi said BJP will not join hands with BRS and it will sit in the Opposition in the Corporation.

He said KCR used to receive him at airports when he pay a visit to Hyderabad and grant him courtesy and respect but he stopped doing so after he was not allowed to join the NDA.

Modi said he is speaking 100% truth and appealed to mothers and sisters to bless BJP and vote for Lotus in the Assembly election to be held in a couple of months from now.

He attacked BRS by saying it is indulged in corruption.

The Prime Minister alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) helped Congress to win in Karnataka, and now the Congress would return the favour in poll-bound Telangana.

In a scathing attack on the Congress, Modi said, “My sisters from Telangana have been part of a big revolution, created history. A few days ago the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam bill was passed in Parliament. Congress and its INDIA alliance – this ‘ghamandiya’ alliance- had stalled this bill for the last 30 years.

Due to the collective power of women, this alliance has to support the passing of this bill,” he added.
