Ganja smugglers involved in illegal drug trade nabbed

Bhopal: Bhopal Crime Branch arrested ganja smugglers involved in illegal drug trade. The total illegal drug seized from the accused was Ganja 15 kg 800 grams, total value of which was Rs 325,000 thousand. Crime under Section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against the accused and taken into consideration. The investigation is ongoing as to where the accused bring the ganja from. The accused used to bring ganja at cheap prices, find retail customers and consume it in small quantities in Bhopal.

To control crime and criminals in the city, Police Commissioner Bhopal Shri Harinarayanachari Mishra and Additional Police Commissioner Bhopal Shri Anurag Sharma were directed to take action to arrest the accused.

In pursuance of the above instructions, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Shrutkirti Somvanshi and Addl Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Shri Shailendra Singh Chauhan, under the guidance of Assistant Police Commissioner Shri Mukhtar Qureshi, Police Station Incharge Crime Branch Ashok Maravi and his team searched for illegal drug smugglers in the city in Patarsi. Imposed .

A reliable informer present at the police station informed the Crime Branch team that two boys were standing near Charwal Chauraha vegetable market Govindpura with a bag on a Pulsar motor cycle.

After informing the senior officers that the above information was reliable, they reached the place mentioned by the informer, where two boys of the same description as described by the informer were seen near a Pulsar motor cycle.

The suspects were surrounded and caught with the help of staff and witnesses and asked for their names and addresses.

When both the accused were asked about the Pithu bag and Vimal Gutkha bag, they told that it was theirs. When both the bags were searched, it was found to contain ganja inside the bag and the suspect also said that the said substance was ganja. When inquired about it, both the accused said that it was their own. Since the act of the accused was punishable under Section 8/20 NDPS Act, the crime was registered in the police station crime branch and taken up for investigation.
