G20 success is proof of India’s power: Modi

Bina (MP), Sep 14 (UNI) Describing the success of the G20 New Delhi Summit as evidence of India’s collective power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi averred on Thursday that the credit for the stupendous achievement goes “not to Modi” but to the capability of 140 crore Indians.

Addressing a public meeting in this town of the Bundelkhand region’s Sagar district, the Prime Minister said, “During those two days, you heard the word ‘G20’ echoing even on the lips of rural children. Tell me, has the triumph not made you proud? Is not your head up and chest swelled with pride? Indeed, the entire country shares your sentiment.

“Guests from across the globe said that they had never observed such superb organisation earlier. They received rousing welcomes in various cities, and a Bharat darshan profoundly influenced them regarding our diversity and prosperity,” he said.

Modi pointed out that meetings related to the G20 were also conducted in Bhopal, Indore and Khajuraho.

“I express my gratitude for the cultural, agrarian, tourist, and industrial strength you showcased. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his team deserve praise,” he added.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs 50,700 crore including a petrochemical complex at the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.’s refinery here.
