Pune, Nov 5 (UNI) G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management grabbed the Department of Science & Technology (DST), GoI research grant of Rs 1.01 crore under the FIST Scheme.
The grant was given for development of testing facilities for heavy jobs comprising of beams, pillars and other structures.
The key focus of the grant is to support acquisition of a state-of-the-art research equipment known as the “Servo Cyclic Loading Frame”, said a press release here on Saturday.
The Servo Cyclic Loading Frame is a versatile and advanced piece of equipment that will be used for heavy load testing of civil infrastructures.
This will help the industry and society for testing of civil infrastructures, the release added.
