Former Cong MLA Arya joins BJP

Bhopal: Former Congress MLA Kamlapat Arya formally joined the BJP in the presence of former Home Minister Narottam Mishra and BJP state president VD Sharma in the city on Friday. While explaining his decision, Arya expressed dissatisfaction with the customs and policies of the Congress, citing a lack of discipline and a vision for the future. He praised the BJP for having a comprehensive roadmap for the future and winning the hearts of the people through development initiatives, prompting his departure from the Congress.

Dr. Kamlapat Arya, who was MLA from Bhander assembly constituency from Congress in 1980, was also once in BJP. Kamalapat Arya joined BJP in 2002. But after that he returned to Congress and said that Dalit community was being oppressed in Bharatiya Janata Party. At that time, Kamalapat Arya had accused BJP of marginalizing him and had joined Congress, but now he has made the same allegations on Congress and has once again joined BJP.
