Bhopal, Feb 7 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel on Wednesday issued a clarion call for universal advancement along the path of duty in ‘Kartavya Kaal’ by toiling in the direction of creating a developed state for the purpose of attaining the objective of a developed nation.
Touching upon the state dispensation’s achievements – during the gubernatorial address marking the inaugural day of the Assembly’s Budget Session – he averred, “The consecration ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram temple immersed the entire world in devotion. In that sequence, the Madhya Pradesh government committed itself to commencing work on the Ram Van Gaman Path in Chitrakoot and Orchha. The places where Lord Ram and Lord Krishna set foot shall be converted into pilgrimage destinations.”
The resolve to establish the Veer Bharat Museum is in consonance with recognition vis-à-vis the lives and sacrifices of bravehearts, Patel underlined.
“The approval of the Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project will prove to be nothing short of a developmental milestone. Ten districts shall be benefited by the approximately Rs 35,000-crore venture. In the context of Indore’s Hukumchand Mill; as many as 4,800 labourers’ families were given Rs 224 cr due to them. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, the state dispensation will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of other mills’ workers,” he added.
A sum of Rs 325 cr was disbursed as scholarship for tribal children. The Centre provided Rs 400 cr under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana.
In excess of 11 lakh Baiga, Sahariya and Bharia adivasis living in 23 districts were helped under the Pradhan Mantri JANMAN Yojana.
More than Rs 388 cr have been disbursed as scholarship to in excess of 14 lakh girls under the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana.
The state has been numero uno for the past half a decade vis-à-vis implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
The Kuno Cheetah Project is a success as seven cubs were born in January.
A grand fair shall be organised in Ujjain from Mahashivaratri to Gudi Padwa, Patel said.
The Governor’s speech lasted approximately half an hour.
