Five teachers of state honored with National Teacher Award 2023

 

Bhopal: Five teachers of the state were honored with the National Teacher Award 2023 today on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu presented the National Teacher Award to Mrs. Sarika Gharu of Narmadapuram, Mrs. Chetna Khambte of Indore, Dr. Yashpal Singh of Bhopal, Mr. Ravikant Mishra of Datia and Mrs. Seema Agnihotri of Ratlam in a function organized at Vigyan Bhawan. Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State for Education Shri Subhash Sarkar and Smt. Annapurna Devi were also present in the ceremony. A total of 75 teachers from the country were honored in the program.

Mrs. Sarika Gharu, a teacher of Government Higher Secondary School, Pipariya, Narmadapuram, made her class a school of fun to increase the enrollment of tribal students. Due to his hard work, the tribal students of the school have received many awards. Mrs. Chetna Khambte, teacher of BSF, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Indore, has been teaching biology in an interesting manner for 18 years. He has developed 3-D models and interactive teaching materials for the science laboratory.

Dr. Yashpal Singh of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School, Bhopal was awarded for his efforts in bringing change in the field of education. Along with imparting knowledge to the students, he has made a commendable effort to create awareness in the society on issues like environmental protection and against evils like child marriage and dowry.

Shri Ravikant Mishra of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bikar, Datia was awarded for making education simple and exciting through the use of technology. He has taken several steps like teaching on his YouTube channel, taking live classes on PM e-Vidya national channels and bringing awareness on important issues like health.

Mrs. Seema Agnihotri of CM Rise Government Vinoba Higher Secondary School, Ratlam was honored for making the teaching material enjoyable through information technology. To make education interesting, they have organized story reading competitions, newspaper writing, drama and dance competitions by involving the community.
