Patna, June 9 (UNI) Rajbhooshan Choudhary Nishad, who became a Member of Parliament for the first time this year, on Sunday found a berth in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Cabinet.
Forty-six yers old Nishad, an MP from Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha seat, holds a Post Graduate degree and is a doctor by profession. He is also associated with the Nishad Development Association for long.
He joined Mukesh Sahni of VIP in 2017 and recently crossed over to the BJP, which fielded him from the Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha seat. Nishad secured a remarkable victory.
The Lok Sabha win has now fetched him a ministerial berth in the Union government. His inclusion in the cabinet is seen as a setback for Mukesh Sahni, who leads the Nishad community’s politics.
