Exit polls a ploy to deceive public opinion: Akhilesh

Lucknow, June 2 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday termed the exit polls of the Lok Sabha elections as a conspiracy of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that public opinion is being deceived through polls.

Taking to X, the SP Chief posted, “Understand the chronology of exit polls. The opposition had already declared that the BJP media will show BJP crossing 300, so that there is scope for fraud. Today’s BJP exit poll was prepared many months ago, the channels just ran it today. Public opinion is being deceived through this exit poll.”

He said, “Based on this exit poll BJP wants to take advantage of the share market opening on Monday. If these exit polls had not been false and the BJP had not lost, then the party people would not have blamed their people. The sad faces of BJP leaders are telling the whole truth. BJP leaders are realising that the result of the country cannot be changed like the Chandigarh Mayor election because this time the opposition is fully alert and public anger is also at its peak.”

Akhilesh said, “The corrupt officials who are hand in glove with BJP are also not able to muster the courage to rig the election after seeing the activism of the Supreme Court, and they also do not want to become a victim of public anger.”

While advising the party workers to keep a close vigil on the counting center, he said, “All the workers, office bearers, and candidates of India alliance should not make even one percent mistake in monitoring the EVMs. INDI alliance is winning. That is why be alert and get the counting done and celebrate the victory only after getting the certificate of victory.”

It may be noted that the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections will be held on June 4. Earlier, the exit polls had predicted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would get an absolute majority.
