Ensure availability of medicines in hospital

In Hamidia, the largest government hospital of the capital Bhopal, there were complaints for a long time about patients not getting all the medicines and many tests being stopped, regarding which Commissioner, Bhopal Division, Dr. Pawan Sharma reviewed the current situation of patient facilities in Hamidia Hospital. Instructions have been given to the superintendent that adequate availability of life-saving equipment like stents as well as similar resources should be ensured so that proper treatment can be provided to the patients.

Dean Dr. Salil Bhargava, Superintendent Dr. Ashish Gohiya and doctors from various faculties were present in the meeting held at Gandhi Medical College on Monday. Dr. Sharma has given instructions to immediately fulfill the minor needs of the medical students in the hostels and also to provide smart boards in the classrooms.

He directed that resources should always be available in case of emergency and maintenance of various equipment should also be done immediately so that no machine etc. stops. He also gave instructions to submit proposals for repairing many small electronic equipment. In the meeting, the work of all the departments was reviewed and instructions were given to provide more beds and human resources to various departments as per requirement.

Take services of three layer pathology in a week

In the meeting, Commissioner Dr. Sharma said that 10 days’ stock of stents should be kept to keep Hamidia’s cath lab running smoothly. He has also asked to keep adequate storage of life saving equipment and medicines in departments like surgery, orthopedics etc. Dr. Sharma has given instructions to avail the services of three layer pathology from out source within a week. He reviewed the expansion work of the mortuary and also inquired about the status of construction of cold rooms etc.
