Electric model of the Honda Elevate to hit the marker in the next three years: HCIL.

Chandigarh, September 8 (UNI) Country’s leading passenger vehicle maker Honda Cars India Limited^HCIL), after launching its new global SUV ‘Honda Elevate’ with a petrol engine in the Indian market, is now working on a plan to launch its battery electric model in the market in the next three years, a company official said on Friday.

The company’s National Marketing Head, Nikhil Sarin, shared this major information to a question while interacting with media persons here on the sidelines of the launch of masculine ‘Honda Elevate’ in the markets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Union Territory Chandigarh.

He clarified that the company has no plan to bring a hybrid model of Hond Elevate. Instead, it is working on developing an electric model and plans are afoot to launch it on the market in the next three years.

He said that the Honda Elevate is a global SUV, but it has been launched first in the Indian market and is being manufactured at the company’s plant in Rajasthan. It has been designed as per Indian needs and conditions and 90 percent of the equipment used in it has been manufactured in the country. The company is getting good responses from people for this SUV and has received bookings for 5-6 months in advance.
