Election petition against Scindia’s RS nomination rejected

Bhopal: The Gwalior bench of MP High Court heard the election petition of Congress leader Dr. Govind Singh against the three-year-old Rajya Sabha nomination of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday, after which the High Court rejected the petition.

On the previous date, the debate regarding this petition was completed in the High Court, after which the verdict in the case was given on Thursday.

Actually, this petition was filed challenging Scindia’s election. In this petition filed by former minister and Congress leader Govind Singh, it was alleged that Jyotiraditya Scindia had hidden some facts while filing nomination papers during the Rajya Sabha elections.

The petition said that in 2018, an FIR was registered against Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia at Shyamala Hills police station in Bhopal, which was publicly accepted by Jyotiraditya Scindia, but now he is not in Congress and is contesting from BJP in Rajya Sabha. Was elected MP. Jyotiraditya Scindia has hidden that matter in his nomination. The petition was filed on the basis of this fact.
