Election Commission team to visit Madhya Pradesh from Sep 4

  • Team will hold a meeting on September 5 with all collectors and SPs of state at Minto Hall

On September 5, the Election Commission team will hold a meeting of district officials regarding preparations for elections in the districts, law and order, voter list and other subjects at Minto Hall in Bhopal.

The code of conduct can be implemented in the state anytime after October 4. The Election Commission team is visiting the state to see the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. It is being told that on September 4, this team will reach the capital Bhopal. This team will remain in Bhopal for three days. During this, this team will hold a meeting with all the Collectors and SPs of the state at Minto Hall in Bhopal. The Election Commission is also making preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh along with the political parties. In this connection, the Election Commission team is coming to Bhopal on a three-day tour on September 4. This team will review the election preparations for three days. This team will remain in Bhopal till September 6 under the representation of Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar.

The first meeting will be held by the Election Commission team on September 5 at Minto Hall in Bhopal. During this time, they will discuss with all the collectors, police commissioners of Bhopal-Indore and SP and IG of all the districts regarding election preparations, law and order, voter list and other issues in the districts. On September 6, the next day of the visit, apart from Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bais and DGP Sudhir Kumar, there will be a meeting with Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajesh Rajoura and General Administration.

Will also discuss with representatives of political parties

Apart from BJP-Congress, the Election Commission team will also discuss with representatives of recognized political parties. During this time, efforts will be made to take suggestions on voter list, polling centers and other issues and resolve their complaints. It is to inform that the work of taking applications for revision of voter list will be completed on 31st August.

The final publication of the voter list is on October 4. It is believed that the Model Code of Conduct can be imposed for the assembly elections in the state any time after October 4.
