Door of BJP closed for Nitish : Giriraj

Patna, Jan 25 (UNI) Amid intense speculations over continuation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Grand Alliance and also his next move, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh said the door of saffron party is closed for the former.

Singh told media persons here that game of one upmanship was going on between JD(U) and RJD.

The Chief Minister was a hard bargainer and he was keeping RJD under pressure by creating an impression of possibility of his return to NDA, he noted.

“Some days back, a senior RJD leader said Kumar is Chief Minister due to the blessings of RJD chief Lalu Prasad “, the Union Minister pointed out adding that RJD turned soft after strong reaction from JD(U).

On Wednesday, Nitish, while using the name of Karpoori Thakur, targeted RJD Chief Lalu Prasad for promoting his family members which did not go well with RJD, he further added.

“Rohini Acharya, daughter of Lalu, made oblique comments on social media X, against Chief Minister but later deleted her post after tough stand taken on the issue by Kumar”, Singh said adding that game of one upmanship was going on between the two parties. It was easy to understand what was the situation in Grand Alliance, he stated.

The BJP leader while reciting the lines of an old song of Hindi film ” Main maike chali jaungi”, said, Kumar was using this sentiment to frighten RJD.

He asserted that door of BJP was closed for Nitish, saying, ” Maike ka darwaza band hai”, a reference that door of BJP is closed.
