New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) Delhi is expected to get some relief from the sweltering heat with a gradual decrease in temperatures and easing heatwave conditions.
Prevailing heatwave conditions over Northwest, including Delhi, are likely to reduce gradually during the next 2 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
However, some isolated pockets of Delhi will continue to witness heatwave conditions for the next two days.
The maximum temperature over this regions is also expected to reduce by one to three degrees celsius, the IMD said.
The weather department also predicted rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over several parts of Northwest India under the influence of western disturbances.
The city is witnessing a generally cloudy weather today. Thunderstorms/dust storms with very light rain accompanied with gusty winds up to 50 kmph is expected over the national capital today. The maximum temperature recorded in range of 44-45 degrees celsius.
