Hyderabad, Mar 30 (UNI) Telangana Civil Supplies and Irrigation Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed confidence on Saturday that the Congress party would sweep the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, securing 13–14 seats with a significant majority.
Addressing a preparatory meeting for the Nalgonda parliamentary constituency elections in Mattampally, Huzurnagar, Reddy highlighted the party’s optimism amidst the enthusiastic participation of Congress workers from various assembly constituencies. Prominent leaders, including AICC Incharge Deepa Das Munshi, Ministers Komatireddy Venkatreddy and Tummala Nageshwara Rao, former Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy, and Nalgonda LS candidate K Raghuveer Reddy, addressed the gathering.
Reddy, a former Nalgonda MP, pledged to secure a record-breaking victory for the Congress in the upcoming elections. He emphasized the party’s commitment to development and welfare, promising to prioritize the needs of the people.
Accusing the BJP of betraying farmers and failing to fulfill promises, Reddy criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies and questioned the credibility of BJP leaders campaigning in Telangana.
He reiterated Congress’s commitment to job creation and welfare schemes, highlighting the party’s achievements in the state within 100 days of assuming power. Reddy called upon the people of Nalgonda to support Congress candidate Kunduru Raghuveer Reddy in the elections.
AICC Telangana Incharge Deepdas Munshi underscored Nalgonda’s importance to the Congress party and urged continued support from the electorate.
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy assured the implementation of welfare schemes post-elections and appealed for overwhelming support for Congress in Nalgonda.
