Cong is party without direction: Scindia

Gwalior: While campaigning for his party in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia took a dig at the Congress party, characterizing it as a partylacking direction. Speaking at a rally in Gwalior, he remarked, “Today, on one side, you have a government with a double engine, and on the other, you have a government without any direction. Through this election, we will determine the future of Gwalior. The lotus flower (BJP) has transformed Madhya Pradesh from a struggling state to a remarkable one.”

Jyotiraditya Scindia went on to highlight that the BJP’s tenure in Madhya Pradesh achieved in 15 months what the Congress couldn’t in 55 years, even if we exclude the COVID period. He emphasized, “The BJP governed Madhya Pradesh for three years, and within those 15 months, they accomplished what the Congress couldn’t do in 55 years.”

He urged the people to support the BJP in the upcoming elections, stating, “I ask all of you to ensure that on November 17, every vote goes to us, and we will remove the Congress from Madhya Pradesh.”

Scindia also directed his criticism towards Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, suggesting that Rahul’s ‘Mohabbat ki dukaan’ (the shop of love) only seemed to offer items of hatred. He mentioned instances of fake certificates being distributed in the name of loan waivers for farmers and quipped, “This (Congress) is a government of lies and corruption. Rahul Gandhi claims to have a ‘Mohabbat ki dukaan,’ but it appears to stock only items of hatred. Twenty-six lakh fake certificates were distributed in the name of loan waivers to farmers, and I even distributed some of those certificates. As the saying goes, ‘Jhoot Bole Kauva Kate, Kale Kauve Se Darriyo,’ I am the black crow for the Congress.”

Notably, in the previous state assembly elections in 2018, the Congress came to power, with Kamal Nath assuming the position of chief minister. However, a significant political upheaval occurred in 2020 when Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with 22 loyalist MLAs, crossed over to the BJP.
