CM will visit Sehore and Sheopur dists today

  • Cheetah project meeting will be held; redevelopment works of 33 rly stations of state to be launched

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute bicycles to Cheetah Mitras at Palpur Kuno in Sheopur district on the afternoon of Monday 26 February. A meeting related to the Cheetah project is also being held here which will be attended by Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is virtually dedicating and laying the foundation stone of many railway projects on 26 February. 544 railway stations of the country have been selected for redevelopment. This also includes redevelopment of 33 railway stations of Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will participate in the programme being organised in Sehore.

Under the development of railway infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh, an amount of Rs 15 thousand 143 crore has been sanctioned in the current year. 32 projects worth more than Rs 77 thousand 800 crore are being implemented in the state. Along with laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 33 stations in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate 133 Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and underpasses. The foundation stone will be laid for the redevelopment of 33 railway stations in the state. These include five stations each of Jabalpur and Bhopal railway divisions.

The stations selected for redevelopment include Sehore, Jabalpur, Bina, Ashoknagar, Khirkiya, Sanchi, Shajapur, Beohari, Bargawan, Narsinghpur, Pipariya, Indore, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Maksi, Nagda, Neemuch, Shujalpur, Khachrod, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Khandwa, Mandla Fort, Nainpur, Seoni, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Bijuri, Morena, Harpalpur, Datia and Bhind stations.

ROBs include two ROBs of Jabalpur Railway Division and four ROBs of Bhopal Railway Division. Under the underpasses, work will be done at one place in Jabalpur and two places in Bhopal division. It is noteworthy that ROB/underpass is built to eliminate manned level crossing gates.

Final touches to programme in Sehore

To ensure all the necessary arrangements for organising this programme, Collector Sehore Praveen Singh inspected the venue of the programme located at the railway complex of Sehore. Final touches have been given to the programme. At the venue of the programme, the Collector gave necessary instructions to the officials regarding stage arrangements, pandal arrangements, meeting arrangements, arrival-exit, parking, drinking water arrangements etc. He inspected the place earmarked for the foundation stone laying ceremony and the stalls to be set up by the departments and asked to ensure all the arrangements well in advance.
