New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Wednesday took over the security of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya Dham, in Uttar Pradesh.
According to an official statement, the unit will be headed by a Deputy Commandant rank officer.
The formal induction ceremony was held in presence of Vijay Prakash, Inspector General, CISF APS
HQrs and Vinod Kumar, Airport Director.
The representatives from the airline operators and various stakeholders were also present during the occasion.
With this, the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport will be under 24×7 security cover of the CISF.
This initiative aims to ensure the secure passage for pilgrims and visitors to the holy city, contributing to a safe and enriching experience for all.
The deployment of CISF personnel at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport underscores the organisation’s unwavering dedication in maintaining the highest standards of security across the nation’s vital transportation hubs.
This development brings the total number of airports under the protective umbrella of CISF to 68.
