Children show creativity in henna and palm painting competitions

  • Wildlife Week celebrations at Van Vihar

Bhopal: Bird watching and bio-diversity camp was organized on October 5 at 6.00 am at Van Vihar National park under the ongoing Wildlife Week celebrations. A henna competition on the theme of “Wildlife” was organized in the promenade located at Van Vihar from 10.30 am and a teacher debate competition on the topic “Natural disasters are man-made” from 11.30 am. As another competition, palm painting competition on the theme of “Wildlife” was also be organized in the Vihar Gallery located at Van Vihar from 12.30 pm onwards.

With the aim of creating awareness about forests, wildlife and environment, an interactive program was organized in Vihar Vithika from 3.00 pm in which 43 students of VNS College participated. Shri Jasbir Singh Chauhan, retired Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Shri R Srinivas Murthy, retired Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests were present in the said program as subject experts. The curiosity of the participants was fulfilled by getting answers to various questions asked by the subject experts.

Earlier, on October 4, participants of Sant Hirdaram Kanya Mahavidyalaya participated in various activities. Participants were thrilled to see wild animals in Van Vihar. Bird watching and bio-diversity camp will be organized tomorrow, 6th October.
