Chahal creates record, secures 350th T20 wicket

New Delhi, (UNI) Yuzvendra Chahal, the spin maestro of Rajasthan Royals, once again showcased his bowling prowess in a face-off against Delhi Capitals, achieving a significant milestone here on Tuesday as he secured his 350th wicket in T20 cricket, making him a formidable force in the format.

The milestone moment arrived in the 14th over of the match when Chahal bowled a fuller delivery targeting the middle and leg stump.

Rishabh Pant, aiming for a cross-bat shot, mistimed his stroke, sending the ball towards deep backward square leg where Trent Boult executed a comfortable catch. With this wicket, Chahal etched his name in T20 cricket history, achieving the landmark in his 300th match, boasting an economy rate of 7.68.

Veteran bowler Piyush Chawla trails behind Chahal with 310 wickets to his name, emphasising Chahal’s dominance in the bowling department.

Chahal’s milestone set the stage for an enthralling finish as DC pulled off the match in an high-octane encounter.
