Mumbai, Jun 6 (UNI) The BSE Sensex was stronger for another day on Thursday, advancing 692 pts to close at 75074.51 as BJP-led NDA set to form a government at centre.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 201.05 pts at 22,821.40.
The NSE registered days high and low at 22910.15 and 22642.60 pts respectively.
The day opened on a strong note at 75078.70, up 696 pts. During the day it was spurted 915 pts at 75297.73, day high before closing at 75074.51, surging 692.27 pts from its previous close.
With this, the Sensex has sparkled 2995 in a couple of days.
The stocks that shined were Realty by 4.85 pc, Industrials by 3.69 pc, Capital Goods by 3.42 pc, and IT by 2.86 pc.
In 30 scrips, 23 advanced while 7 declined.
The Mid Cap rose to 2.28 pc and the small Cap by 3.06 pc.
The gainers were Tech Mahindra by 4.46 pc to Rs 1323, HCL Technology by 4.06 pc to Rs 1397.95, SBI by 3.56 pc to Rs 817.80, NTPC by 2.99 pc to Rs 351.15 and Infosys by 2.99 pc to 5 1473.05.
The losers were Hind Unilever by 1.84 pc to Rs 2555, Asian Paints by 1.63 pc to Rs 2912.20, M & M by 1.44 pc to Rs 2703.20, and Nestle India Ltd by 1.36 pc to Rs 2475.
