Srinagar, Mar 22 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Mahila Congress President Shameema Raina alleged on Friday that the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to weaken the Congress by various means ahead of the Lok Sabha election as they are scared of the INDIA alliance.
Shameema said that the BJP has a policy to weaken the Congress with different means during this Lok Sabha election to “kill” the democratic system of the country.
“BJP is scared of the INDIA alliance”, Mahila Congress President Shameema told media persons in Srinagar on Friday.
She said that with the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, the Modi government, which acts as a “dictator,” seized all accounts of the Congress party .
“These accounts were seized only because the Congress was raising the issues of the Dalits, Aadiwasies, youth, Mahila, sportspersons, and soldiers, which is not acceptable to the BJP dictatorship,” she said.
She said Congress has been served income tax notices for the past 30 years.
“A delay was caused to pay the tax during the past six to seven years, on which a penalty of Rs 10,000 could have been charged, she said, claiming “this deaf and dumb government leveled a Rs 210 crore penalty, which is totally unwarranted.”
The Congress leader also blamed the BJP government for misusing the CBI, ED, NIA, and Election Commission.
“The Congress party will never remain silent. We will not allow the killing of democracy and will continue our fight until all accounts of the Congress party are not defrozen,” she added.
