Lucknow, Mar 19 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav said on Tuesday that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has no answer to the recovery made in the name of donations in the case of electoral bonds.
Talking to reporters at the party’s state headquarters, Akhilesh said that through ED, CBI, and income tax, the BJP government harassed the leaders of opposition parties and pressured them to join the party. “The public is watching everything. People will stand against the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. Only the people will save democracy in the country. The BJP can put pressure on the opposition leaders to make them join the party, but it cannot make the public join it,” he said.
He said that SP workers and leaders will have to be alert in the Lok Sabha elections. “Party leaders and workers should pay attention and monitor the elections at every level,” he said.
The SP chief said that the BJP government has ruined the future of the youth. “Lakhs of posts are vacant in government departments, but jobs have not been given. Students who have been preparing for competitive exams for years are disappointed and frustrated. The BJP leaks the paper deliberately. Under the BJP government, the youth will neither get jobs nor reservations. This youth will wipe out the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
