Bihar: Seven killed in collision between container and Scorpio

Dehri-on-Son, Aug 30 (UNI) At least 7 people were killed and 5 others injured in a collision between a container and a Scorpio near Pakhnari village under Shivsagar police station area in Rohtas district on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the Scorpio by which Sudeshwar Sharma of Bamhor Khas under Mohniya police station of Kaimur district was returning with his family from Bodhgaya hit a stationary container parked on the flanks on National Highway 2 near Pakhnari village.

In this accident, seven people travelling by the Scorpio died on the spot, whereas five others sustained injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Arvind Kumar Singh (45), Premlata Priyadarshi (42), Aditya Vishwakarma (09), Riya Kumari (13), Tara Kumari (22), Chandni Kumari (20), and Raj Muni Devi (60). The bodies have been sent for postmortem.

The injured have been admitted to Sasaram Sadar Hospital.
