Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
There is good news for railway passengers traveling from other stations, including the capital Bhopal of West Central Railway. Soon, all 18 stations including Rani Kamlapati, Bhopal will become cashless. That means payment for general and reservation tickets will be done through UPI. For this, the railway administration is installing QR codes by installing screens on the ticket counters of all the stations.

Senior DCM of the division Saurabh Kataria said that this arrangement is being made for the convenience of the passengers. A proposal has been sent to the Railway Board in this regard. We started this facility at a counter at Bhopal station as a pilot project two and a half months ago. Now it is being implemented at all the railway stations of the division along with other counters. The experiment conducted in Bhopal as a pilot project received a very good response from the passengers. We are making arrangements to take payment through the UPI system everywhere. This module system made in Bhopal will be implemented on all other stations of WCR including Itarsi, Bina, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Harda, Narmadapuram.
