AAP’s transgender wing stages protest in Delhi against the arrest of CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, April 29 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party’s transgender wing on Monday organised a protest in the national capital under its campaign ‘Jail ka Jawab Vote se’ against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The protest led by senior party leader Dilip Pandey and councillor Bobby Kinnar witnessed the gathering of many people from the transgender community at Delhi Gate. They were seen wearing AAP caps and T-shirts written with ‘Jail ka Jawab Vote se’ to raise awareness amongst the public to respond to the dictatorship and high-handedness of the BJP with their votes.

Speaking to the media, MLA Dilip Pandey said it has become clear from the two phases of voting held so far for the Lok Sabha election that the BJP is losing.

He added that the people of Delhi and the country are now standing against the ‘Jail Bhejo’ (send to jail) policy of the BJP. People of the entire nation have understood the conspiracies of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The result is that the BJP has become so frightened due to the fear of its defeat in the Lok Sabha election that it has started acting impulsively.

Highlighting that it never happened in India that a campaign song of any party was banned, Pandey accused the BJP of banning its campaign song.

He said, “All these symptoms reflect acceptance of the defeat by BJP. The people of the country have understood this. The people of Delhi and the entire country are standing united against the high-handedness and dictatorship of the BJP.”

“The voting for two phases of Lok Sabha elections has taken place so far. The voting trends of these two phases have made it clear that the BJP is losing in the Lok Sabha elections. The people of the country will answer the arrest with their votes,” Pandey added.
