6 killed, 12 injured in road accident in Pakistan’s Sindh

Islamabad, (UNI) At least six people were killed and 12 others injured on Friday in a road accident in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, local media reported.

According to the reports, the passenger van collided with a truck on the Indus Highway near the Khanote village in the Jamshore district of Sindh, leaving six people dead, including two women.

Police and rescue teams rushed to the site, and shifted the bodies and the injured to a nearby hospital. The medics feared that the death toll might further rise as several of the wounded were in critical condition.

Local police said that the accident happened after the driver of the passenger van lost control due to over-speeding.
