4 IAF men killing Case : Eye-witness identifies Yasin Malik as shooter

Jammu, Jan 18 (UNI) In a much publicized killing of four Indian Air Force personnel case in 1990, one eye-witness namely R Rajeshwar Singh on Thursday made a statement before the TADA Court that he saw only JKLF Chief Yasin Malik who fired upon them in Srinagar.

When CBI Counsel asked him that can he identify the other accused, he stated that he didn’t know other as he was injured in the firing.

Malik, who appeared before the TADA Court through virtual mode from Delhi’s Tihar Jail, denied cross questions over the witness statement and stated that he would only represent his case by physical appearance.

The other accused who were present are Showqat Ahmed Bakshi S/O Gh Mohd Bakshi, resident of Bamina, Srinagar, Manzoor Ahmed Sofi, S/O Mohd Abdullah Sofi, resident of Koker Bazar, Lal Chowk, Srinagar, Ali Mohammad Mir, S/O Abdul Rehman Mir, resident of Watergam, Srinagar and Javaid Ahmed Mir, S/O Ghulam Nabi Mir, R/O Zaina Kadal Srinagar.

Presiding Officer TADA Court Jatinder Singh Jamwal after hearing both the sides fixed February 15 and 16, 2024 as the next date of hearing.
