Chennai, Feb 27 (UNI) About 25 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will be deployed in Tamil Nadu ahead of the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo said ahead of the Parliamentary elections, the Union Home Ministry has allotted 25 companies of CAPF to Tamil Nadu for area domination and confidence building measures, among others.
While 15 companies would be inducted from March one, 10 more would be inducted from March 7 to the State.
He said “25 Coys of CAPFs has been allotted to the State of Tamil Nadu by Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi for area domination, confidence building measures etc., in connection with General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024.”
He said “15 Coys of CAPFs will be inducted from 01.03.2024 and 10 Coys of CAPFs will be inducted from 07.03.2024 to the State of Tamil Nadu’, he added.
