24 people injured in Manhattan subway train derailment

Washington, Jan 5 (UNI) Two dozen people were injured during a subway train derailment incident in Manhattan, New York City Fire Department Deputy Assistant Chief Ian Swords said during a press conference.

“We have a total of 24 people injured,” Swords said on Thursday.

Nobody was seriously injured in the incident, Swords added.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul said earlier on Thursday that she was briefed on the situation.
